Why Does Everyone Think I'm A Woman?!
Witch, a word that has been depicted as a woman said to have evil magick powers, but why? I'll tell you why, it's because of ignorance! People take what they see on TV or Movies for real, and they shouldn't. I'm not saying just non Wiccans either, it happens to all of us. I got a response in my guestbook a while back from a girl asking me to join her woman's wiccan club! Just assuming that I was a woman because I am a witch? I find it very offensive, and yet, I shouldn't. From all the pictures, thoughts, ideas people have about witches and the craft...how else are we supposed to think? It is all in the mind. If we grow up being told that we are beautiful, handsome, sexy, what would we think about ourselves? I think it's obvious. The words of Jewel on her first album always touched me, and still do...
"I have this theory that if we're told we're bad then that's the only idea we'll ever have, but maybe if we are surrounded in beauty. Someday we will become what we see, cause anyone can start a conflict it's harder yet to disregard it. I'd rather see the world from another angle."
So in conclusion, yes I am a witch, and no I am not a woman. Magick is something everyone has inside of them and gender has no major part in casting it. I am who I am and that I will always be. Please remember only the idea you see in yourself, the vision you have of yourself, is the only thing that matters. If you look into a mirror and see a wonderful, beautiful person...then that is what you are!
"I am a powerful, lovable, wonderful, beautiful witch, only good will be cast from these hands"
With perfect love, perfect trust, I cast my love onto the wind for all to feel...Blessed Be
